If you keep frozen bananas in the freezer (which most MHC readers should by now :)) then you have everything you need to make this tasty chocolate banana nice cream.
Dessert for breakfast, anyone? This chocolate banana nice cream is the ultimate breakfast or treat. Simply take frozen ripe bananas, cacao, milk and blend for a super creamy, easy treat straight from the pantry!
The trick to getting this stuff thick and creamy is firstly, use a good blender with a tamper. I love and swear by my vitamix, it's probably one of my absolute favorite kitchen items! Second, you want to use as little liquid as possible when blending. To get everything nicely combined, you'll want to use the tamper that comes with the blender to move the ingredients around so they get all nicely combined!
When it starts getting hot out, I start reaching for this treat to cool me off. My boyfriend requests this frequently, because he knows when we have no other dessert in the house, I always have frozen bananas on hand to make this treat. No matter the occasion, this is a super healthy treat, packed with whole food ingredients that you can feel good indulging in.
Nice cream gets its name because it is dairy free. Another trending food name, it's typically made from frozen bananas or nut milks. The best way to have this, in my opinion, is topped with my favorite date crumble.
For a vanilla flavor: omit cacao powder and add ½ teaspoon of maca powder and a dash of vanilla extract for a vanilla flavored treat.
