Maca Turmeric Strawberry Banana Smoothie

Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 2-3 ripe bananas (I like frozen bananas)
  • 1 1/2 cup frozen strawberries (fresh are fine too)
  • 1 tsp maca powder
  • 1 cup milk (I like almond)
  • 1 cup water
  • 2-3 tbsp flaxseed (ground)
  • 1 inch ginger
  • 1 handful ice (if not using frozen bananas)
  • 1 1/2 inch turmeric root (or 1 tsp powder)

Optional Add In's

  • 1 med carrot
  • protein powder of choice
  • collagen powder

Instructions

  1. Add everything to a high speed blender and blend for about a minute, or until smooth.
  2. Serve right away, or make ahead for the following day. Flaxseed will thicken overnight and you'll need to add a little water to the smoothie to thin it out.

Lasts in fridge a few days.
